Historical NoteDarien, Fairfield County, Town established in May 1820, Parent Town: Stamford The Darien Probate District was constituted May 18, 1921, from the Stamford Probate District and merged on January 5, 2011 with the New Canaan Probate District to create the Darien – New Canaan Probate District. The Darien – New Canaan Probate District serves the municipalities of Darien and New Canaan.
