Historical NoteMadison, New Haven County, Town established in May 1826, Parent Town: Guilford The Madison Probate District was constituted May 22, 1834, from the Guilford Probate District. The Madison Probate District merged with the Guilford Probate District on January 5, 2011 to create the Madison - Guilford Probate District which serves the municipalities of Guilford and Madison.
