Madison, New Haven County, Town established in May 1826, Parent Town: Guilford
The Madison Probate District was constituted May 22, 1834, from the Guilford Probate District. The Madison Probate District merged with the Guilford Probate District on January 5, 2011 to create the Madison - Guilford Probate District which serves the municipalities of Guilford and Madison.

Probate records -- Connecticut -- Madison
Record books, volumes 1-2, 4-6, 8-9, 13, 1834-1917, were microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah and are available for use in the History and Genealogy reading room or through the LDS Family History Centers.
The probate files in accession 2011-043 were transferred to the Connecticut State Library on November 9, 2010.
