The Berlin Probate Court was constituted June 2, 1824 from the Farmington, Hartford, and Middletown Probate Districts and has processed probate matters for the City of New Britain from its incorporation.  The Berlin Probate District presently serves the municipalities of   Berlin and New Britain.
