Historical Note
The General Assembly formed the Commission in 1965 (Special Act 257) to study the problem of teenage alcoholic use and implement the recommendations of the earlier (1961) Teenage Liquor Law Coordination Commission, including the holding of a state-wide education conference on the subject. Arthur Lewis was the Commission's chair, and it held the conference in the Capitol on December 6, 1966. After it issued its report, Teenage Drinking in Connecticut, the Commission went out of business in 1967.
