Biographical NoteHelen Sharps died in 1954. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentThe Notes on Calkins Family is the 3rd edition compiled in 1949. Mrs. Sharps compiled the first edition in 1943 and the second in 1946. Volume 1 of Notes contains an indexes of Calkins names and of Calkins marriages. Also generations 1 through the first part of 6th of the genealogy (pages 1 to 143). Volume 2 contains the last part of generation 6 and generation 7 of the genealogy (pages 144 to 405). Volume 3 contains generations 8 and 9 of the genealogy (pages 406 to 511). Also unplaced parentage (pages U.P. 1 to 35); unplaced marriages; New York census records; Wisconsin records; Land bounty warrants and Civil War pensions; Vermont records; New Hampshire records; Records from Genealogical Society of Utah; Probate records; Michigan data; Massachusetts deaths; Barbour and Hale records from Connecticut State Library. The working papers contain miscellaneous data from various sources. Mrs. Sharps collected this data over a thirty year period prior to her death in 1954.
