At their 50th reunion held on January 10, 1917, it was agreed that it should be the last reunion, and Secretary Hitchcock
was requested to deposit in the State Library the records of the organization. He died on November 18, 1917. A letter to Ward
W. Jacobs, Treasurer, dated November 24, 1917, from George S. Godard, State Librarian, states that Major Hitchcock did bring
the chest with some of the records to the State Library.
A Connecticut State Library internal letter dated October 6, 1924 states W.S. Jacobs brought additional material that was
added to the original accession.
