Portrayal of Private William Webb, Civil War Soldier of the 29th Connecticut Volunteers
The weather
began to change - and it’s October. And, I remember the weather changing because
I started to get cold and the musket that I was carrying, that was really getting
cold, and all the wool I was wearing wasn’t keeping me warm.
We were placed in the First Brigade and we were sent
to guard Newmarket Road. |
