Brief Descriptions of Connecticut State Agencies
The purpose of this ongoing project is to compile information about current
state agencies and their predecessor agencies as well as some defunct agencies.
Information for each agency includes designation dates and name changes,
statutory authority, locations of pertinent materials in the State Library,
cites to agency histories, commissioner’s names, and web page links. Bold
Print designates an agency name change; underlined agency names are
hot links to more information about that specific agency
