Agency History :

1965 Established as part of Dept. of Public Works, per 1965 Public Act 551.
1977, October 1, Public Works Dept. becomes the Bureau of Public orks in the Dept. of Administrative Services. Commission on Demolition is transferred as well.
1979, Commission on Demolition transferred into the new Dept. of Public Safety per P.A 79-222 for administrative purposes.
1982, Commission on Demolition abolished per P.A. 82-451. Functions absorbed by the Dept. of Public Safety.
