Agency History :

1983, June, Connecticut State Motion Picture Film Commission established per P.A. 83-26, June Special Session. Often referred to as the Film Commission.  Administratively part of the Dept. of Economic Development
1994, the Connecticut Film, Video and Media Office established within the Dept. of Economic Development per P.A. 94-137. Often referred to as the Connecticut Film and Video Office.
1994, the Connecticut State Motion Picture Film Commission is renamed the Connecticut Film, Video and Media Commission within the Dept. of Economic Development. The Commission monitors the activities of the Film, Video and Media Office, per P.A. 94-137.
1995, October, Dept. of Economic Development becomes the Dept. of Economic and Community Development
2003, June 30, both the Film, Video and Media Office and the Commission merged with other agencies to form the Commission on Arts, Tourism, Culture, History, and Film per P.A. 03-6.
