1885, Bureau of Labor Statistics reconstituted per Public Acts chpt. CXIX.
1887, Office of Factory Inspector created by Public Acts chpt. CLII.
1915, Public Acts chpt. 255 combined both the Bureau of Labor Statistics and
the Office of Factory Inspector into the Department of Labor and Factory
Inspection.
1950, name changed to Department of Labor, per 1955 Suppl. to the
General Statutes, s.2022d.
