History :

1903, Indeterminate Sentencing Law passed. Each of the state prisons authorized their own paroles.
1957, P.A. 57-461 created a 3 member Board of Parole to replace the State Prison Board of Directors as the paroling authority.
1968, July 1, Dept. of Correction established with an autonomous, single State Board of Parole, to replace the former three separate boards of parole.
2001, July 1, replaced by Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles per P.A. 04-234.
