1937, Personnel Dept. established by 1937 Cum. Suppl. s. 643e, administratively under Dept. of Finance & Control
1953, renamed the Personnel Division.
1957, P.A. 658, sec. 3, effective June 21, 1957, abolished Personnel Division of Dept. of Finance & Control and established an independent Personnel Dept.
1973, Oct. 1, name changed to Dept. of Personnel and Administration per P.A. 73-677.
1975, name changed back to Personnel Dept. per P.A. 75-519.
1977, succeeded by the Personnel Division in the newly created Dept. of Administration Services, , per P.A. 77-614.
1996, abolished per P.A. 96-168, duties assumed by the Bureau of Human Resources in the Dept. of Administrative Services
