Newgate prison established as the
state prison.
Wethersfield State Prison is opened to replace Newgate Prison per 1827
Public Acts chpt. XXVII.
Wethersfield State Prison replaced by new State Prison in Somers. All
prisoners transferred to Somers.
Wethersfield State Prison demolished.
State Prison in Somers transferred administratively to the new
Dept. of Correction per P.A. 152 of 1967.
State Prison in Somers renamed Connecticut Correctional Institution,
Somers, per 1969 Public Act 297.
Connecticut Correction Institution, Somers renamed Osborn Correctional
Institution.
