Historical NoteNorwalk, Fairfield County, Town established September 11, 1651 The Norwalk Probate District was constituted May 1802, from the Fairfield and Stamford Probate Districts. The Norwalk Probate District presently serves the municipalities of Norwalk and Wilton. The Norwalk Probate District also included the municipality of New Canaan from May 1802 to June 21, 1937.
