Historical Note
Weston, Fairfield County, Town established in October 1787, Parent Town: Fairfield
The Weston Probate District was constituted May 22, 1832 from the Fairfield Probate District and merged with the Westport Probate District on July 22, 1875 to become part of the Westport District. The Westport Probate District serves the municipalities of Weston and Westport.

Scope and Content
Probate record books, Volumes,1-4, 1832-1978. Volume 4 also contains records for the Easton Probate District. In 1875 when town of Westport became part of the Westport Probate District, the Eason probate Disctrict was created. Its records are recorded in Volume 4 starting on page 548. See Alternative Form Available note below.
Probate files, None. Probate files dated from 1832 to July 22, 1875 from the Weston Probate District are filed with the Easton Probate District. Probate files may consist of estates, conservatorships, guardianships, commitments, and insolvencies.
