Lowe, President of Manchester Community College, to serve as U.N. Day Chairman for Connecticut. Similar observances are celebrated on an annual basis. Dr. Lowe was reappointed chairman in 1968. In 1969, Dr. William T. O'Hara of the University of Bridgeport took over the job. State Treasurer Robert I. Berdon became United Nations Day Chairman in 1971.
