Lesson Five Summary Are You an Archivist? If you are responsible for historical records, you are probably doing at least some of the work of an archivist. You may not be professionally trained or have the job title, but you are caring for and protecting some pieces of the fabric of the historical record. With that role comes a responsibility to gain and use the knowledge, resources, and tools that are available for historical records care and preservation.
