Course Objectives  Objective To develop appropriate processes for gaining intellectual control over records and provide basic preservation for historical records.   Outcomes At the end of this course, the user will be able to:    1. Understand the use of the core concepts of provenance, original order, and series in arrangement and description    2. Take basic preservation actions while processing historical records    3. Recognize and implement preservation actions for several record formats    4. Understand how to create finding aids to help users locate the records they need
