  • Twenty-First Anniversary of Legislative Internship Program
    The 2002 session of the Connecticut General Assembly will mark the 21^st Anniversary of the legislative internship program at the Bill Room at Connecticut State Library.

• Honoring the Past

  • From the State Archives: A Woman who Developed Tolerance: Leila T. Alexander
    Governor Baldwin presents Leila T. Alexander with an award for her service to the war effort. She was the only African American to receive an award.
  • Donna Holt Siemiatkoski: A Memorial
    CSL has lost one of its most frequent patrons and biggest advocates. A memorial is given for all her efforts in the library community.

  • Museum of Connecticut History To Host Traveling Exhibition: Witness to War: 1941-45
    The Museum of Connecticut History is hosting a traveling exhibition created by the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Hartford portraying the war-time experiences of 40 Soviet Jewish men and women.

• Creating the Future

  • Law Unit Offers Free Access To KeyCite Service
    The CSL Law Unit has contracted for public access to WestGroup's KeyCite citation research service. The exciting new product allows researchers to check the accuracy and reliability of cases and laws.
  • East Granby Public Library
    On September 29, 2001, the new East Granby Public Library was dedicated. Details and pictures of the new library's features can be viewed.

  • 2001-2002 State Public Library Construction Grant Awards
    The Connecticut State Library Board approved numerous State Public Library Construction Grants on November 26, 2001, pending State Bond Commission approval.
