| NOVEMBER 2001 | Volume 3 Number 4 |
The past three years showed a dramatic increase in the number of reference questions answered via email. Compared to mid-1998 figures, total email volume increased almost 70% through mid-2001, with an average quarterly increase of about 7%. Data show that periodic fluctuations uniformly affect all service desks in the Information Services Division, History and Genealogy (H&G), Government Information Services (GIS) and Law.
