    A new exhibit introducing viewers to the basics of genealogy and illustrating the fact that the study of family history is more than just constructing family trees.
  • Access to Newspapers Increased with 2000th Reel of Microfilm and Scanning Newspapers
    The Connecticut Newspaper Project surveys, catalogs, inventories and then preserves the newspapers from every known Connecticut newspaper repository through preservation microfilming.

  • From the State Archives
    Third State Librarian George Seymour Godard (in the person of State Archivist Mark Jones) highlights his career in radio in 1930.

• Creating the Future

  • Connecticut Union List of Serials, 2001
    A history of the development of the Connecticut Union List of Serials and an update on the 2001 edition.
  • Surge in E-mails
    E-mail reference questions are increasing dramatically.
  • Fleet Cheers for Reading II
    Fleet employees, librarians and twenty Connecticut children's authors, illustrators and children joined in this program designed to instill children with a lifelong passion for reading.
