To Connecticut's Public and Academic Libraries
C-Car may be experiencing some delays in the coming weeks. Two drivers recently experienced
off-work accidents and will be out for an extended period of time. One driver may be out 6 months
or more. To cope with this staff shortage Walt Magnavice, C-Car Supervisor, has pulled back the new
Route 9 that had been operating but not officially unveiled. The other routes have picked up those
extra stops. This means that some libraries may receive fewer stops each week until we can be up to
full staffing again. We have permission to hire an additional driver and will proceed as quickly
as possible. In the meantime, the C-Car staff is pulling together to do the best job that they can
for the libraries. Walt will be out on a route every day. I ask your patience as we struggle
through this difficult time. If you have any questions, please call Walt Magnavice at
1-800-437-2313 or me at 860-566-5607.
