Nora,
The current issue (July) of PC Magazine has a fairly large section on
buying the "perfect pc." It includes some commentary on currently
available processors based on how the machines will be used. It will
not give you a definitive answer on what to buy, but it may help you
decide on what you need to get what you need out of your new machines
for the computer classes.
