Tome: I'm with you when it comes to saving money, but our library has
already had the experience (hmm, alright, I made the mistake) of purchasing
MMX enhanced CD-ROMs that refused to run on a "traditional" Pentium machine.

The MMX processor is selling wildly, and the software will follow SOON!

Of course, if your library has no plans for multimedia applications, which
is very possible, then buying MMX may be overkill today.

You also have to be careful, because to my dismay I've found that some of
our Pentium-ready motherboards are not upgradeable to the faster chips,
despite the ZIF socket. Oh, the everlasting pain.

Personally, I would never buy a 133MHz processor for a new computer--no
enough horsepower--though I just might consider it if it were donated.
