Reminder: The JCET Committee on the Universal Service Fund (which includes representatives from the
State Library and the Dept. of Education) is planning to hold workshops for public libraries at the
end of September on the USF. By that time we anticipate having complete information on the FCC
requirements for the application process.
You also may have seen the SNET announcement about a workshop that they are holding on August 12th
with three regional follow-up sessions.
Dick Akeroyd, the State Librarian, will be participating in these workshops to provide information
on the U.S.F. as of that date. You are invited to attend the workshop for information purposes.
However, these will not replace the workshops we were planning for September.
