Subject: Position Available (Trainer/Lib. Rep. for Bibliomation
Trainer/Library Representative: Bibliomation, Inc., a non-profit
organization providing automated services to Connecticut libraries. Salary
range from mid-30s, negotiable based on experience and skills. With
considerable independence, acts as libraries' primary contact, providing all
aspects of customer support in the use of system software. Duties include,
but are not limited to, conducting training classes and workshops in use of
system software for members; creating and maintaining documentation;
preparing routine online and written commmunications; providing telephone
hotline and reference support; preparing and maintaining members'
site-specific system requirements. In conjunction with Head of User
Services, tests and troubleshoots changes to system software; acts as
liaison with vendors for problem resolution; acts as in-house resource to
staff about library needs, use, and features of system software; edits and
publishes network newsletter; creates, edits and loads World Wide Web pages.
Qualifications: MLS or equivalent, broad knowledge of library services and
computer applications, experience using Carl automated system, 3 yrs. prof.
exp. in library services, experience using Windows-based software for HTML,
word processing, and desktop publishing. Personal attributes: presentation
and training skills, ability to work well with others, excellent written and
verbal communication abilities, highly developed organizational skills,
willingness to work under pressure with a minimum of direct supervision and
