Joan,
My optometrist (who wears trifocals) said that many people he fits for
glasses and who work with computers all day long get trifocals.  It's the
middle part you look through to view the computer screen-don't know how
they would work reading "sideways" at story hour, though. Maybe you could
get trifocals and just keep the bifocals on hand for story hours.  Good
