Reference 101 - A Crash Course

reference sources to remember, Search techniques for CONNECT and reQuest,
Why you're never really alone: Hotlines and other experts
INSTRUCTOR: John Crowe, Reference Librarian, Cora J. Belden Library, Rocky

AUDIENCE: Individuals who have had no formal training working on a
reference desk or need to brush up on basic reference sources.
DATE & TIME: Fridays, Oct. 31, Nov. 7, 14, and 21 from 9:30 a.m. to
12:00 noon.
LOCATION: Portland Public Library, 20 Freestone Avenue, Portland 342-6770
(directions will be sent with confirmation)
COSTS: $125 CRLC member, first person from institution, $115 each
additional person from the same institution, $150 non CRLC member, first
person from institution, $140 each additional person from the same
institution
REGISTRATION: Limited to 15 participants. Please fill out the
