Subject: Athena Problem Solved!
Hi!
This was a strange enough problem, that I thought I'd pass it along.
We had just installed a new GW2K E-166 machine on our network to do Large
Print circulation. I was able to get the machine up and circulating without
any problems. Then, when they tried to do cataloging on that machine early
this week, it would allways freeze when trying to edit a title in the
"Add/change titles" section. Sometimes with an error message, other times
just locking up completely.
Tech Support suggested several items I'd already tried, and then asked if
we had an Intellipoint mouse with a wheel. They suggested as a last resort
I might remove the Intellipoint 2.0 software. I tried that first and it
worked! Evidently, some software not written for the mouse wheel can have
problems with its software. Just wanted to pass this along, as I would
NEVER have thought of this as a mouse problem.
Cordially,
Steven Thomas
