Free Product Trial -- November 1 to December 30, 1997
       No cost to participate in the trial --- No obligation to subscribe.
       All libraries with graphical Internet access and a static IP address
are
       eligible.  Access is through a browser such as Netscape Navigator
2.0 or
       higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher.

are annual prices and will be prorated for the six month start up

                           Small rural libraries will be extended special

Subscriptions are for unlimited local access.  Remote and dial-in access
may be available for schools and colleges.  Ask for additional information
if you need these services.

Subscribing institutions may purchase CD-ROM editions of the Encyclopedia
Americana at 50% off the prevailing school or library price.

The Grolier Online Reference Collection offers access to two of America's
largest, most respected, and most authoritative encyclopedias - the
Encyclopedia Americana and the Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia (Academic
American Encyclopedia) -- specially configured and supplemented for
publication on the World Wide Web.  Overall, Grolier Online contains:

     80,000 Articles and 120,000 Article-to-Article Links

     19,200 Bibliographies
     7,200 Pictures & Line Art and 150 Sounds.

This project is sponsored by the Connecticut Library Network.  It is
coordinated by the Capitol Region library Council on behalf of all four of
the Cooperating Library Service Units. The administration of the project is
supported by $20,000 LSCA funds through the Connecticut State Library and
$5,354 from the Capitol Region Library Council.
