Subject: Exciting new teleconference!
Dancing With Change, a new teleconference from the College of DuPage, will
be held at six locations in Connecticut on Friday, December 5, noon to 1:45
p.m.
Global Dimensions of Local Librarianship will focus on the roles and
responsibilities of the local library staff in serving a diverse community
of users. It will suggest knowledge, abilities, and skills that are
effective for developing leadership in a global cultural environment. The
teleconference will show you how to communicate the role of the library as
an entry point to a global society.
Speakers will be Robert Wedgeworth, University Librarian, University of
Illinois; Nancy John, Associate Univ. Librarian, Univ. of Illinois; Lesley
Williams, Evanston Public Library; and Leslie F. Trainer, Highcrease Middle
School, Willmette, IL.
Registration is $15 for staff of CRLC, ECL, SCLC, or WCLC libraries, or $25
for this session AND the one to be held on February 6 (Developing
Leadership for Change). Cost for staff of non-member libraries is $25 per
session or $45 for both programs.
