Subject: chat rooms & email at public pcs
Conntechers:
Quite awhile ago there was a discussion on Conntech about patrons using
chat rooms and email on public LAN pcs. At the time I did not pay much
attention because we were still in the planning stages of our LAN. Now it
is becoming a policy issue at our library and the pcs are all tied up with
kids doing this all afternoon. To avoid belaboring the issue all over
again, if anyone has dealt with this problem and has some constructive
advice on how reference staff and administration can deal with this, could
you please contact me directly? Any practical suggestions appreciated!
