Subject: ALA on T.V.
FYI:
ALA President Barbara Ford will appear on ABC News this evening
(Dec. 2). She will be discussing how librarians are educating the public
about Internet use, especially as it relates to children. I believe ALA's
700+ "Great Sites" for children will be featured.
Also, Steve Herb, immediate past-president of ALSC, will be a guest on
Fox News tomorrow morning. He will discuss the issue of filtering the
Internet -- libraries, or others, using software to block out information on
a particular subject(s).
Check your local T.V. guide for times.
