Subject: Re: chat rooms & email at public pcs
We have an hour time limit on most of our pc's -- with no restrictions on
what people can do -- unless of course it is unlawful. ( from our internet
policy --As is true of other library materials (resources), any use of the
Bethel Public Library's Internet connection for illegal or inappropriate
purposes or in support of such activities is prohibited and may be reported
to the local authorities.)
We have a few "hogs" that will stay on all day , but we don't have enough
computers for that. A few terminals have even shorter limits -- 15 min.
Those terminals have access to a number of things other than the internet,
and we want to keep them freer.
