Are you talking about attaching a barcode to an actual drivers license?
That would be an official state document and I would think they might have
serious reservations about you altering it! Also, some states already have
a magnetic strip on the back for driver information, and our old Kansas
licenses had an organ donor form that any barcode would have obscured to a
great degree. When you include the problem of children, I just can't see
the DL as a viable alternative.
