Subject: Library director opening
The public library of Newington, CT, is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking
leader to direct one of Connecticut's most progressive libraries. Directs
highly motivated staff of 24 FTE in Greater Hartford community of 30,000. Known
for customer service, it is the fifth busiest library per hour in the state with
outreach service to the business community and the latest technology. The
successful candidate will administer an annual budget in excess of $1 million,
oversee long-range planning, and report to both a Town Manager and a Library
Board of Trustees. Requirements include an ALA/MLS and appropriate managerial
experience. Salary range of $46,150 - $73,788. Send letter of interst and
