Hmmm....

I've heard AOL Users aren't allowed to telnet, I'm guessing for security
reasons.  (We have telnet links on our web page and I get roughly an
email/week from AOL users wondering why it won't work for them.)

So maybe there are restrictions on third party email use, as well.  Not sure
how they'd block it, though.
