Subject: [CONNTECH] DSL and Cable Internet Service

DSL and cable internet service can be purchase with or without static IP addresses. For example, SNET offers static IP addresses as part of their Professional DSL Internet Service but their Standard DSL Internet Service does not provide static IP addresses.

iCONN IP registration requires static IP addresses.

If your school or library has DSL or cable internet service without static IP addresses, use the Access from home/office or Access from home link on www.iconn.org to access the iCONN databases. To login using these links, students and patrons will need a valid Connecticut library card barcode.
