    The Connecticut State Library
    Division of Library Development presents:

    Microsoft Word: Beyond the Basics

Now that you know how to type, select and format text, you're ready to
move on to more sophisticated documents. We'll explore the mystery of
tabs, including the popular tab leaders (dotted or solid lines going
across a page). We'll also find out how to insert, format and add
formulas to tables. We'll explore the table toolbar and investigate
some of its powerful features. We'll also be using a form toolbar to
create easy to use forms in Word. Lastly, we'll have some fun inserting
graphics and borders into your document.
                              Topics will include:
             Identifying the types of tabs.
             Inserting and moving tabs.
             Adding tables.
             Formatting table columns and rows.
Converting a word document to a form.
             Using form fields.
             Inserting graphics and page borders.
             Wrapping text around graphics.

Your instructor will be Diane McKeever, President of Professional
Support Services, a software training company. Diane had her own
desktop publishing company for many years, producing newsletters, flyers
and brochures for a variety of clients. She is also a part-time
instructor at Norwalk Community Technical College.
