CONSULS Directors
Meeting, Jan. 26, 2006
The CONSULS Directors met at CSL’s Van Block facility on Jan. 26, 2006. Topics discussed included:
- Re-authorizing CONSULS database. CCSU’s purchasing office couldn’t process the group RFQ, so it will go back to the CSU Central Office for them to release.
- III Load Table Training. Edward Iglesias is authorized to attend Load Table Training in Emeryville. Jeanne will invoice each library for this and the previous training.
- Hartford Courant. The Historical Hartford Courant 1764-1922 is now available through iCONN. Subsequent years will be made available as they are freed from copyright. Kendall Wiggin will bill supporting libraries soon. Supporters will also receive a 70% discount if they purchase the 1923-1984 years.
- LibQUAL survey. All five libraries will do the LibQUAL survey this spring. As consortium participants, each of us will be able to add five questions to the standard 22 always asked.
- Serials Solutions. CSL and SCSU now have Serials Solutions Article Linker installed. ECSU will have a trial of this product.
III server status. The new server has been installed at the CSU Systems Office. The Millennium upgrade (2005) will not be installed until Millennium Acquisitions and Serials training is completed, and all libraries are using these modules. The 2006 Millennium upgrade is scheduled for release in July.
