Services To Teachers And Students
Teacher Consultations
We will work with you to prepare a study module focusing on our collection's
strengths while meeting your goals. A few of the unlimited possibilities:
- trace the Lewis and Clark expedition through the original documents
and maps.
- see how your town developed by examining Census records from
1790 to the present.
- use the full text of the Army-McCarthy hearings to enliven your
discussion of the 1950's.
In addition to print resources, our information specialists are adept at navigating
the array of government resources available on the
Internet.
Call Nancy Lieffort at 757-6574 to arrange an appointment.
Student/Teacher Tours And Classes
After we've met with you to set up a study unit, bring your students in for
a tour and a research session. An information specialist will work with your
group during your visit.
Access To Our Catalog
CONSULS - is the
joint library catalog of the State Library and the four campuses of Connecticut
State University. Searching the catalog of a large (over half a million titles)
research library is an instructional unit in itself, and prepares the students
for a productive research session once they arrive.
