Records Management Program for State Agencies

The Records Management Program for State Agencies is developed and directed by the Office of the Public Records Administrator, pursuant to CGS §11-8 et. seq.  These directives apply to all state agencies within the executive branch of state government.

Information for each State Agency including designation dates and name changes, statutory authority, locations of pertinent materials in the State Library, Commissioner's names, and information about archival materials.

• Public policy research guides - a continually updated set of research guides on topics of interest to state agencies, such as Children, Crime, Education, Environment, Health, and Transportation
• Statistics research guides - research guides leading to trustworthy statistical sources on Crime, Education, Health, Housing, Economy.
• Study Guides for Civil Service Exams - the State Library collects study guides for general civil service exams to help patrons study for state exams. These are not copies of the state exams, but generic guides. Patrons may borrow them at the Government Information and Reference Services desk (balcony) for a period of one week with a State Library card.
