Microfilm of Connecticut Records at LDS Family History Centers

Many Connecticut vital, land, church, and probate records, as well as the State Library's Barbour Collection and Hale Collection, have been microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah, which is affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons).

Each microfilm is assigned a unique seven-digit number by the Genealogical Society of Utah. Film numbers are shown in the LDS Family History Catalog, available as part of the Family Search computer program available for use at the Connecticut State Library, many other genealogical libraries, and LDS Family History Centers, or online.

The staff of the Connecticut State Library does not search or provide copies of microfilmed records. We also do not loan our public-use copies of these microfilms because of heavy on-site demand.
