Those bills given an unfavorable report by the committee appear on the chamber calendar under the heading "Unfavorable Reports." The clerk asks if the chamber will vote "to accept the committee's unfavorable report and reject the bill."
At this point the bill's supporters will still try to save the bills, but if the chamber votes in the affirmative on the motion to reject the bill, then the bill dies.
In extremely rare circumstances, when the motion to reject the bill is defeated, then the bill goes back to the LCO for the same treatment that favorably reported bills get, and returns to the chamber as a favorably reported bills.
