Enactment
If the act makes it past the governor's desk, then it is enacted!
  1. Acts (and bills) usually contain an effective date, which tells when the laws will change.
  1. The next time the general statutes are revised, the changes introduced made by the bill are integrated.
    1. Regardless of whether the act is actually worked into the general statutes yet, once the effective date passes, it is the law.
