Preliminary Annual Crime Statistics for 2007 FBI RELEASE, June 9, 2008 : Summary of national preliminary annual crime statistics released for January-December 2007 with Complete Preliminary Annual Uniform Crime Report available at the FBI web site.

Bureau of Justice Statistics   Statistics about crime and victims, criminal offenders, law enforcement, courts and sentencing, corrections, and more.  Includes an historical table of reported crime in Connecticut from 1960 to 2006.

OPE Campus Security Statistics  Provides a direct link to reported criminal offenses for over 6000 colleges and universities in the United States. If you are thinking of attending college in a large urban city, a small liberal arts college, a specialized college, or a community college you can find their security statistics here.

Hartford Crime Statistics  Up-to-date crime statistics for the city of Hartford by neighborhood for 2002 to the present.


New Haven Crime Statistics  NEW PROJECTIONS for 2007, from the Department of Police Service in New Haven.  Also projections for 2005-2006, statistics for 1990-2001, trends for 1990-2003 as well as historical statistics for 1863-1920. Includes an explanation of crime statistics, with definitions of crimes indexed in the Uniform Crime Reports and crime trends for ten year intervals.
 

Stamford Police Blotters, 1899-1934  Data compiled from annual reports issued by the City of Stamford, for all charges between 1899 and 1934. Also includes statistics for each charge, arranged in groups such as domestic crimes, morals charges and insanity, etc.

 


State Resources

Connecticut Uniform Crime Reports  Publications and summary data maintained by the Connecticut State Police Crime Analysis Unit, including the annual publication of the Connecticut Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, Crime in Connecticut, for the years 2000-2004.   Summary data for 1985-2004 as well as NIBRS data (National Incident-Based Reporting System) for 1994-2004 are searchable.  A family violence detailed report for 2005 is also available here.

Probation Departments and Incarceration Rates, by Ryan O'Neil, Office of Legislative Research, 2003.  Discusses which states have adult probation offices in the judicial branch. Incarceration rates for each of the 50 states, the country as a whole and in four geographic regions. Also, a comparison of demographics and crime rates in Minnesota and Connecticut.
