Real Property Electronic Recording Committeec/o The Office of the Public Records Administrator

Public Act 08-56, the Uniform Real Property Electronic Recording Act, directs the State Librarian to establish a Real Property Electronic Recording Advisory Committee to advise the State Librarian with respect to adopting, amending and repealing certain regulations outlined in the act.
The State Librarian shall appoint members of the committee as follows:
The Public Records Administrator, or a designee
The Secretary of the State, or a designee
A town clerk representing a municipality of less than twenty thousand
A town clerk representing a municipality of at least twenty thousand but less than sixty thousand
A town clerk representing a municipality having a population of at least sixty thousand
Three attorneys experienced in real estate law
An individual experienced in mortgage banking
An individual experienced in the business of title insurance
An individual with experience performing title searches of real property
A licensed real estate broker
A notary public
Proposed Regulation – Second Submission to the Legislative Regulation Review Committee
The proposed regulation has been revised as directed and resubmitted to the General Assembly’s Legislative Regulation Review Committee for review at their March 26, 2013 meeting.

Proposed Regulation – First Submission to the Legislative Regulation Review Committee
The proposed regulation was submitted to the General Assembly’s Legislative Regulation Review Committee for review at their January 22, 2013 meeting, and was "rejected without prejudice."
