AN ACT CONCERNING THE SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT WATER AUTHORITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRepresentatives in General Assembly convened:
Pursuant to section 7-234 of the generalstatutes and for the purpose of facilitating thesale and transfer of the water supply system inthe town of Groton from the SoutheasternConnecticut Water Authority to the City of Groton,Department of Utilities, the franchisejurisdiction of the City of Groton over the supplyand distribution of water, as currently describedin Article V, Section 7, of the City Charter, ishereby enlarged to include the Eastern (EST)Division of the Southeastern Connecticut WaterAuthority and its associated franchisejurisdiction, including those lands shown in itsWater Supply Plan on file with the Department ofPublic Health, provided the transfer of theEastern (EST) Division is approved by the City ofGroton and by the Southeastern Connecticut WaterAuthority. The provisions of section 25-33l of thegeneral statutes shall not apply to the transferof the Eastern (EST) Division of the SoutheasternConnecticut Water Authority.
